Venus & Adonis
There you go – "Venus and Adonis" through the ages, and it just keeps going. We don't know of any modern piece that have come out with the same exact title, but the basic plot is all over the place: Amazingly beautiful girl loves incredibly a guy figure. He dies. The dramatic fiction reveals to its audiences "desire can never be truly satisfied, because desire is always for absence, for lack, for what is not there"In the first scene we see the awaking of humanity and meeting with first the woman-man figure of primitive people at the first scene.
The second scene, influenced by Boticelli's world famous painting of "Birth of venus" which depicts the goddess Venus, having emerged from the sea as a full grown woman. The character of Venus is been modelled over lyrical narration.
Using flashback strategy and light the characters are being introduced at this scene. The main aim is to make the audience feel the relationshiop between mythology and present time.
And we see the story in the following scenes mixed while searching the new on the dancing floor. Its been organized some symbolic oppositions through the way of choreographic construction for expression of the mythic and imagistic story.
